User Experience is always considered as crucial factor for Apple and to protect the data and privacy of the users at your palm of hand, Apple has introduced a new feature to its phone model and that’s FaceID. The technology that has been used in FaceID is called TrueDept camera system which have components like Flood illuminator, Infrared Camera, Dot Projector & Sensors etc.
Whenever you look to this new iPhone, the flood illuminator & Infrared camera will built the IR images of your face and dot projectors will project the IR dots and then it is send over to neural models of your phone to create a mathematical model of your face. So, you can easily understand that Apple this time has used a little bit artificial intelligence to develop the FaceID. All the processing /events occurred in real time and it is done by a neural engine developed by Apple – A11 Bionic neural engine to process the face recognition. This A.I basically learns your face pattern and does not consider what type of sytle/pattern that you like to do with your face.
Apple has also claimed that randomly the chance of unlocking phone by others is 1 out of 1 million and the user face data is secured in bionic chip. The iPhone requires your attention to unlocked your phone.
Animoji – This is one of the new feature of iPhone X where FaceID is required. Using your FaceID, it will animate your actual face expression and create the emoji which you can use to express your actual feelings or expression.
Apple-Apple Pay has also been integrated with the FaceID. You just look into your iPhone and Apple pay will be activated.
